Help Bring Warmth to Families in Ladakh This Winter

In the remote high-altitude regions of Ladakh, winter is more than just cold—it’s a life-threatening season. Temperatures can plummet below -20°C (-4°F), with relentless winds adding to the chill.

Families in these areas, especially children, the elderly, and daily wage earners, are at severe risk of cold-related health issues. Many marginalised families are forced to descend to lower regions during winter, seeking temporary shelter with basic amenities that offer minimal protection from the harsh cold.

SEEDS’ Mission to Warm Ladakh

With years of experience in Ladakh, SEEDS has witnessed firsthand the impact of extreme winters on communities in areas like Igoo and Sakti. This Giving Season, we’re raising funds to distribute 8,000 Winter Kits, designed to help families survive the cold. Each kit includes essentials like warm blankets, winter clothing, and other items to keep families safe and warm.

How You Can Help

For just ₹1,000 ($12), you can supply a Winter Kit to a family in need. Your support will bring warmth, safety, and health to those facing a brutal winter without adequate protection.

With Your Contribution:

  • ₹1,000 ($12) provides one family with a Winter Kit.
  • ₹5,000 ($60) helps five families stay warm and healthy.
  • ₹10,000 ($120) ensures ten families have the essentials to survive winter’s harshest months.

Together, We Can Spread Warmth and Hope

This #GivingSeason, join SEEDS in supporting Ladakh’s marginalised families. Your contribution, big or small, will make a life-saving difference to those in need.
